how many of you out there are feeling a little bit of a sugar hangover? based on all of the scrumptious, yummy, sweet posts that flooded my reader yesterday i wouldn't be surprised if a few of you raised your hands. although i didn't dream up any chocolate surprises for you in honour of valentine's day, i was busy sweetening the day for others with a lot of bakeshop orders.
after all the orders were said and done, and the floor was swept clean of flour, i curled up with this little valentine of mine to read stories together and eat red velvet cupcakes in bed. it was a perfect afternoon.
then to top it off, m & i went on an adventure. the first part of the adventure was actually braving a restaurant on february 14th (something we never do!), but the biggest thrill was that it was our first trip out of the house together sans bébé! a dear friend had offered to hang out with woodrow while we went and stuffed our faces with sushi. it was a fun and delicious little dinner date and i managed to avoid calling to check in a gazillion times even though i missed our little munchkin like crazy. needless to say, i couldn't wait to get home and cuddle him up. {and for those wondering (hi mom!), mr. woodrow was a perfect little date for our friend and charmed her with coos and smiles all the while.}
have yourselves a super weekend. any big plans? since i didn't fill my face with chocolate yesterday (shh, cupcakes don't count), i think i'll be making these. and these.
oh, and this too.
Love.
